Know the carrier before the truck moves.

VetGate screens every motor carrier against FMCSA authority and insurance, federal debarment and OFAC sanctions, then blocks dispatch to any carrier it can't clear. When the record doesn't hold up, the answer is no.

SDVOSB · Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Fail-closed · unknown means no Audit-grade evidence on every decision

Built by a working freight brokerage, after an impostor-carrier incident.

Double-brokers and stolen-identity carriers sound legitimate on the phone. VetGate checks the record, not the story, and it was built by people who learned that the hard way.

What VetGate checks

Every carrier, every time, with the reasons shown. A check that can't run counts as a failure, not a pass.

Authority & insurance

Active FMCSA carrier authority and insurance on file, cross-checked against FMCSA's licensing and insurance data, refreshed daily. Coverage below your minimum stops the carrier.

Federal debarment

Every carrier is screened against the SAM.gov exclusions list. A debarred company is a hard stop.

OFAC sanctions

Screened against the Treasury OFAC sanctions list, refreshed daily. If the sanctions check didn't run, the carrier isn't cleared.

Safety record

Conditional or Unsatisfactory FMCSA safety ratings and acute or critical violations flag the carrier before you book it.

Identity & impostors

Carriers are matched on DOT number and legal name, so a look-alike docket can't pass as someone else. Changed payment instructions are held until confirmed.

Your Do-Not-Use list

A carrier you mark Do Not Use stays blocked. A later automatic re-check can't quietly clear it.

How it works

Screening, a human decision, and a gate on dispatch, in that order.

Send the carrier

From the VetGate console, from a load in the VetGate TMS, or with one API call and an MC number.

VetGate screens it

Every source is checked and every reason is shown. A person on your team approves; the system never approves a carrier on its own.

Dispatch is gated

A load can't go to a carrier that isn't cleared. Changing a gate takes two people, with an owner break-glass for emergencies.

Carriers stay watched

Scheduled re-checks, plus an automatic re-check when a carrier's insurance changes.

Evidence that holds up

Vetting evidence is sealed into a tamper-evident SHA-256 chain. When an auditor, insurer or claims adjuster asks what you knew and when, export the carrier's complete evidence bundle, verifier included.

The VetGate TMS

Vetting built into the load: loads and stops, rate confirmations, bills of lading, invoices and receivables, agent commissions, carrier paperwork, and LTL through a partner. A load can't move to a carrier the gate hasn't cleared.

One call, fail-closed

Send an MC number and get eligible: true or false, with the reasons and a decision id. Unknown carriers, hard stops and an outage all return false. API details →

Simple pricing

Priced by how many carriers VetGate watches for you, not by seat. Every plan includes fail-closed screening, federal debarment and sanctions checks, and an evidence record on every decision.
